Short and sweet, I've got a nice new to me S&W model 49. It came with Goodyears, but thanks to a member of another forum, it now wears a beautiful set of wood grips.

    Pics anyone? Here you go.

No, that's not rust, just a reflection from the bathroom I used as a studio.

Drops easily in a pocket for discreet carry.

    Nice! I like the old Js. I have a 642, 36, and 60.

Very nice. I have one also. Great gun to shoot and carry.

Berto, how do you like your T grip? My49 shoots well as is, but I'm considering one.

PS... Where in Washington are you?

I gotta have the T grips, they really seem to fill out the front strap for DA shooting.
I'm just north of Seattle, in Kirkland.

On the K and J frames, I've really come to love the Tyler inserts, though I like the Hogue wood grips too if I have the desire to dress up the gun.

I started putting "T-grips" on everything I could a long time ago.

I think I'll order one up and give it try, if I don't like it, I'm sure I can sell it. No harm no foul.

Born and raised in the Yakima area, lived on Whidbey Island for a while, and Ft. Lewis a lot. I sure miss the home State.

I bought a model 60 long ago. Everytime the hammer jabs me in the stomach or gets caught on clothing I regret not getting a 649.

I miss WA too, it's overrun by CA politics. Hopefully these elections will bring WA back.

I used to hunt elk in the Bethel Ridge Natchez area, nice country.:wavey:

Definitely try the Tylers, I have them on my DAO K frame (mod 64 NY1), Colt OM/T, mod 49 and model 10-7 skinny.
