Just went to pick it up at my FFL. Feels great. Trigger feels really good too. Can't wait to shoot it.

Why doesn't yours have front serrations?

The first 2-3 years they made the TRP, it didn't have FCS, magwell, ambi safety or night sights. I'm going to put a gold bead front sight on this one. I could live with or without a magwell, but absolutely despise FCS and ambi safties. So this is damn near perfect for me.

Congrats on the beautiful 1911! IMHO, that is exactly the way I like my 1911"s. Everything I need, or want, and, nothing I don't. I too don't care for FLC, and you know it has to cost something for them to be there. Please save me the .25 and leave them off!:whistling:

And to add to the pleasure...I won the early TRP Champion just a few minutes ago on GB. Gonna make for a cool set.

Wow! Congrats on both. The Champion is very sexy.
However I would change the grips on the full size.
Too many lines that compete. Loses the congruency of a very graceful looking gun. Congrats!

You're just getting started with GB, my friend.

I have spent many a late night (and even many wee hours) browsing on that site. I checked today and have bought 35 guns from GB with 36 and 37 on the way.

That's just winning auctions and not even counting the guns I've bought from the sellers after the auction ends.

Yeah, but that would take away the pleasure of finding them on GB. ;)

They wouldn't be early TRPs. They would just be TRPs, nothing special.

That's a good lookin' 1911! Much better than the new ones.

I wish they still made 'em like that.
