This morning I went to the gun show and left with a brand-new Sig 1911, model "Fastback Nightmare". Of course I had to drive directly to the range after leaving the show.

Born on 14 August 2012, this baby already has 50 flawless rounds fired now. Gun + Tax = $1050.00. I think I did pretty well on the deal.

    Highlighted features about the pistol:

    • .45 ACP Caliber
    • Rounded frame and main spring housing, DD G10 grips, Beavertail Grip safety
    • Low Profile night sights
    • Nitron finish frame and slide (stainless steel) 41.6 oz (loaded)
    • 5" barrel, 6.5" sight radius
    • Adjustable trigger take-up, SAO only.
    • 8+1 capacity
Here's some baby pictures and her first 20' distance target:

Very nice,.....I've been building up a Springer Loaded. I bob-tailed
the frame. Makes a great difference,.....I like it!

Very nice. Can't wait to pick up my 1911 Extreme when I get home Tuesday.

I would love to have the commander sized version of this one. Ever since I saw someone's Dan Wesson bobtail, I made my mind up that my next 1911 will be that style.

Sig 1911 Carry Nightmare sounds like what you're asking for.

hey G19Paul, when you asked "what is your best 1911" and my husband was holding the Sig and said "this one", you bought it! We snapped up the only SR1911 at the show, and really wanted to find a Sig in traditional slide. We just weren't interested in the aged Springer models, with so many newer and better made 1911's available now and cheaper priced. the fit and finish of the Sig and the SR are really good!

Oh how funny..... Yup when the guy behind the tables said their best one was the one that your husband was holding; I said (tongue in cheek) "well then.... what's you second best model?" LOL. Your husband was praising that it already had all the goodies on it.

Good snatch on the Ruger!!! Congratulations! There seemed to be some great prices out on those tables; except I never found a "deal" on ammo. Ammo was decent prices, not exceptional though.

Please thank hubby (for me) for putting that Sig back down.

I've been looking into some sig 1911's. I used to think they were ugly, now I'm starting to really like them!! I just need more money for more toys!!
  11. Congrats. I have 2 Sig 1911's and they are fantastic. Nightmare is next on my list. Enjoy yours. I cant wait to get mine!!!
