I went to my range again today. I have been growing increasingly unsatisfied with it as of late. Between jack A** sales men and price gouging I haven't been enjoying going there any more. The only reason I haven't changed ranges yet is because every other range is about 40 to 45 mins away and this one is about 20 mins away. Well my brother in law told me today that a new range is opening about 5 mins away from my house!! I am so excited and can't wait for it to open. I read on the website to day it is ran by ex LEO so hopefully they will run a better quality range. Now all I need to find out is if it will be a rifle range as well as my now old range is not.

I live around one mile from a range that I will no longer use. It is like Dodge City in a box. There are six lanes and if a girl or a women is there, forget it. The range officer will be only focused on her, not on the idiots sloppily handling their gear. I purposely choose to drive the 32 minutes to the other one. I get where you are coming from though. I hope the new one is great.

Can you give us the name or web site or is it a secret?

    Good on you!

Fortunately, I'm more than satisfied with my local gun range. It's a half-hour drive.

I would not return to a range that I did not feel comfortable with. Younger years I was at a range that I did not allow my gun to run dry, however I did get my time in. Crap neighborhood, crap range/gunship, range in kind of a basement.

The range is called LEPD firearm range and gun store. The article I read wasn't actually from the website.

Some articles I read stated it was supposed to open October 2012. I wonder what's with the delay? You know when they are supposed to be open? Whenever I'm in Columbus I usually do the long drive out to the public ranges.

I read they will be opening February 1st. My roommate read that they had delays in construction and that is way the opening date was pushed back

I went to the range today and had a severe case of BTF except it wasn't my brass. Guy next to me was sending all his brass over the partition on me. Caught one behind my glasses.
