The replacement for the M9 has gone back to being a purely US Army Special Operations Command program, "big" Army dropped out of the replacement process some months back. Testing and evaluation will be done by the navy folks at Crane, as USASOC goes through SOCOM for equipment testing and eval, and Crane are the people who do that. The safe money seems to be on the HK45 or the Sig 220 winning the contract (in that order). The original USASOC requirements appear to have been written specifically to obtain the HK45 or USP45CT.
