Just got A Pelican 1600 pistol case yesterday and spent the last couple of hours getting the foam cut properly to carry my pistols, it is awesome. I have 5 glocks with mags, 5 Extra Mags and 700 rounds of ammo inside, all supported completely with foam all the way around.

Don't have a pic handy at the moment but I did one of the small camera size pelican cases that's like 12x10 or so. I set it up for my g20 with about 3 or 4 extra mags. Its a real nice sturdy and water resistant setup.

Have you had time to set it up yet? I'll give you a few tips, I used a razor blade and cut about 3/4" down into the foam, (I didn't want to cut all the way through) so I marked it with a sharpie around the frames and cut the outside then I used a butter knife and laid it down beside the cut and used one hand to press the foam down and used the razor blade to cut horizontally and it worked pretty well. You are going to enjoy the case.
    Congrats,
    Mark C.

Thanks for the info Mark! :wavey:

No, I haven't set it up yet. I'm actually thinking about placing the guns barrel-down. I've seen pictures of it done that way and it looks good!
