What's so tactical about a rear sight that's three times bigger than it needs to be.
I think it looks real nice. With that said, I won't be buying it based on what i've been reading about Nighthawk's customer service.
Can it be used with a suppressor?
that's what i don't understand, using a Jardine Tactical Hook rear sight (which uses a BoMar sight cut) instead of a 10-8 or Heinie Ledge rear sight.
also don't get using a Heinie Straight-8 rear sight with a FO front sight on the compact.
it doesn't lok that tall, it's just that the BoMar cut looks like it goes deeper into the slide, which makes the rear sight blade look larger.
Say what you want, but IMHO any fiber optic sight is too fragile for "real" work or on a defensive pistol. They are fine on game guns, but not a working gun. Same thing for a full length guide rod.
I'm thinking they should work more on the reputation of their current models before they start creating more. This will sell because it has Costa's name and influence, but I'll be interested in seeing some honest reviews of it in a few months.
I personally don't care for the front serrations or Costa's logo in silver. Almost makes it look like a toy.
Thats a looks cool at the BBQ gun not a work gun.
Rear sight and front sight to bulky for what is needed.
Front sight a gold or tritium dot,, rear a heinie or Novak ledge sight do the job.
full length guide rod ?? why.
Rail , no problem.
No Ambi Safety, on a fighting gun????
Oh well the beard has spoken.
Who is Chris Costa and was/is he in Recon Marines? Or Recondo?
I'm fairly certain he was in the US Coast Guard and private sector, but don't quote me on that.
US coast guard and Magpul.. famous for beard and wearing High dollar tacticool gear like Arc'teryx
It looks cheap, yet I'm sure it's not.
Yup. Too much show. Makes you wonder about the Go.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
I must steal this phrase.....thank you.
The sight selection on that pistol ruins it for me.
$3500, which I think is more than Vickers gun cost.
For some reason I can just never take any Nighthawks seriously. The only difference with this one is can can actually figure out why
