    Hi -

I just bought my second Glock (G30) but the first that I intend to keep. The first was a G23 from my Brother-in-law who wanted my M&P45. I was trying to find someone to trade me a smaller pistol than the full size M&P45 I had and my BIL wanted to trade. I didn't want to as the 23 was not much smaller than the M&P. So, he kept piling on other stuff until I couldn't say no. I then turned around and two days later traded the 23 for an M&P40c as I really was not into Glocks at the time. I didn't like the trigger/trigger safety.

But fast forward about a year and a half and I have had an XDs45 and had liked it and it had the trigger safety as well. So, since I had gotten a chance to shoot a G26 and G27 at the gun club, and I noticed they were pretty accurate even with me shooting them, I decided that I'd look for a 30 since I wanted to keep with my .45's (I have an SR1911CMD as well as the XDs) and so I found one and bought it. I put a Hogue grip on it and I really like shooting it a lot.

So now I'm looking for a G30S with which to replace my XDs45. The XDs is now back at Springfield Armory since the trigger actually broke when I was shooting it on Tuesday and I don't intend on keeping it when it gets back to me (probably 3 months from now as that is the time it is taking for their recall fixes and I don't know if that will be the same length of time for mine to get back) as this is the second time I've sent it in. I sent it in for the recall back in September and got it back 63 days later. Now, one of the parts they replaced in the recall is broken so I'm not real keen on them at this point.

Anyway, I guess I've rambled on enough. I look forward to gathering one or more other Glocks and will enjoy the forum.

    Hey Bob,

Welcome from a neighbor! Yes, it was raining pretty hard here. I was shooting a 3 Gun match today and it was WET.

The G30 is a great gun... I'm guessing you'll have a few more like it soon.

Ended up just getting a Glock 36 today to go with my Glock 30. Had fun at the range today with both of them (all targets are at 50 feet due to club rules).
