I just purchased my first glock yesterday. It's a gen 3 model 26.

My question is, when I rack the slide, & pull the trigger, should the trigger(empty, mag in or mag out) remain to the rear.

It seams like it should reset and go to the forward position.

    Am I right or wrong?

Are you pulling the slide back a little? This will reset the trigger.

stays to the rear until the slide is cycled. the cycling of the slide after the gun fires resets the trigger.

Well a Glock is a DAO, so I don't see why they don't either.. I think they should be labeled as SAO

The trigger resets to the forward position when you rack the slide again.

    Thanks Davsco!
Thought I bought a brand new lemon, but I guess it's doing what it's supposed to do.

    Thanks bac1023.
I hope I didn't make a big mistake buying it.
I'm seeing some scary stuff here about major problems with various models.

Nah, don't focus too much on so called problems. It's mostly gen4 issues anyway. Glock is the most respected/popular brand for many reasons.

Oh and once you pull the trigger, hold it fully back while racking the slide again. Now you can practice firing using the trigger reset.
