Received the Tx CHL in mail finally. Have a supertuck broke in around the house - yea a bit odd but wanted to make sure it is adjusted to be comfortable and non printable. I wonder how many of you stood in front of the mirror like me looking for a print? Wife thought i was off my rocker.

My wife and i wanted to go out to the movies - to see avengers (Robert Downey Jr. fan). The car has a lumbar support that without the gun is fine. But with it you need to adjust a bit - meaning move your body around. I have gun at 4:00 position.
The Movie theater is in what used to be a good neighbor hood, but these days there is a gang presence - like most cities. The cops patrol the parking lot regularly. I purchased ticket and walked up to the ticket guy, standing right behind him was a COP who looked like he came out of a Clint Eastwood movie. He glared at my wife and me - but that was it. I am sure he could care less on us if we had a gun or not.

After the movie no one was around it was late, but 3 or 4 suspect hood folk - complete with red bandannas and cracks of their butt showing. It was "comforting" knowing if i had to, i could defend my wife and my life. The gang toughs weren't gonna pull anything in the theater restroom area, i don't think. But i did not fear the walk into the dark parking lot either.

I guess to me that about says it all on the gun, why i carried it that night and will in the future - confidence to defend myself and family and pray to God it will never be used.

The thing about "tuckables" is you need to be able to access the gun.

Which means, UNLOAD the gun, CHECK THAT IT IS UNLOADED. LEAVE OUT THE MAGAZINE. CHECK AGAIN.

Then practice lifting your shirt or whatever and drawing the gun. AND putting it back in the holster because when the Police get there you don't want to be the one with a gun in his hand.

Congrats on the plastic! First thing I did was not the Wally Walk, but going to one of my LGS and getting the transaction done w/o any background check and walking out the door with a new handgun.

That is excellent to hear. Makes me look forward to my permit arriving in the mail even more. I gotta see if there are any good movies out.
