I just bought my first glock, a G23 gen 4. Wondering if any of you GT'ers can suggest any grips for the G23 that you like. Also, what are the best night sight you would suggest.

    Thanks

Sorry but what do you mean by grips? You talking like sleeves? And as far as night sights. I PERSONALLY like to trijicons green all around... But i do have some TFOs and mepro. Theyre all pretty bright

For grips like the talon grips for example. Also what is a good choice of range ammo, and HD ammo?

Meprobamate and leave the grips the way they are. I used to use a bicycle intertube though.

I would honestly leave the grips the way they are. And as far as range ammo i usually shoot whatever is on sale at the time lol. Anywhere from wwb, federal or lawman. As far as HD i bough about 3 diff types of HD ammo (Speer gold dots 165, pdxs1 180, golden saber 180 hpj and did my research and MY preference is gold dots. Mainly because my PD uses them and its a good and accurate round. But i suggest you do tour trials and use what suits you better :)

I just put some Talon grips on my G27 and shot it a couple if weeks ago. I must say I love them. Esp if your hands are damp. I went with the non-sand finish as this is my CCW & that's what some suggested for times that the grip is in contact with my side.

As for ammo my carry load is Gold Dot.

Looking at night sights myself, and will be watching this thread among others.

I wouldn't mess with the Gen 4 grip. Sights look at warren tactical or heinie straight 8 sights

I like Heinie straight 8's, but price wise, a pair that's almost identical and costs less is the Ameriglo I-Dot. You can get them new for $60.

Personally, I'm very fond of the Hogue, 'Handall'. I've tried a lot of different, 'grips' on my Glocks; but, nothing is as comfortable, as impervious to gun solvents and oils, or helps me to control a slippery plastic pistol better than the Hogue, 'Handall'.

As for the best, 'night sight'? Heinie makes about as good a, 'NOT TOO BRIGHT' set of sights as you can get. (Think: 'Slant-Pro, Straight 8's'.) ;)

I leave the grips alone on my G23 Gen4, but I do have Glock night sights and I think they are just as good as Mepro's or Trijicons.
