I have just purchased a new G31 from a local dealer. It's my first firearm in 357 SIG. The pistol is new, in pristine condition, has a beautiful black finish on the slide, and has very good eye appeal. When I researched the serial number I was surprised to find that it is an early 2009 model. I don't know how long the dealer had it but it sure didn't look like it had been handled for 3 years! I am going to get Underwood ammo for it so it will be a while before I shoot it. It's not my first Glock as I own a G20 SF and it will always be my favorite. I feel like I will like the G31 more than the G17 I traded . Yes, I feel the need for speed!

We have a G31C WOW what a caliber, When ever we bring it to the range I shoot it first as when I then shoot a 9MM its like shooting a 22.

The 357 auto is such a cool cartridge. Easier to shoot than the .40, IMHO, but it also let's you know it means business. Enjoy your new G31!

Congrats. The G31 is a sweet shooting pistol; better accuracy and less muzzle lift than the G22/23/27's I've shot.

I sure thank everyone for all the positive comments. I will post back to this thread after I have shot it to let everyone know how it performed. That might be another month as my work keeps me fairly busy. I'm sure people have heard this story many times before, but I only went to the gun shop to order some Glock factory sights, got to looking at this G31, and the next thing I knew I was bringing a new pistol home! I consider it a happy ending for the day!

    Congrats on the G31.

Glock 357s were not big sellers in comparison to the 9mms and 40s, or even
45s and 10mms, until about 6 months ago.

Interest has picked up since then- and you can't go a day without seeing
a Glock or other .357 SIG thread being posted.

    Perfectly fine in my book!

I just want to make mention.

If I shoot our G31 first at our range. I love the gun and think what an impressive cartridge. Everything else I shoot after that is mild and controllable.

If I start off with any less of a round and then shoot the G31.I find the G31 LOUD and uncontrollable
