Just picked up a Gen4 19. Austria inscribed. 3/04/13 test date. New to Glock, and this feels pefect in my hand. I'll be going to put a few rounds through this weekend.

There was no damage anywhere like has been reported in threads here.

I also own a P229 Dark Elite in 9mm, and a S&W 66-2 that has had an easy life and is in pefect condition. Nothing but the 158 gr. 357, but mostly had 38 run through.

I'm in Illinois and if we get CC, and the 19 runs well, I'm thinking of maybe going to a 26 for carry duty. Anyone carry the 26 daily here.

    Anyway....hi everyone. :wavey:

    Hello, welcome, congrats!

My EDC for years has been a G30, basically the same size as G19, just wider, but with a 9 round mag the grip is shorter.

I've been thinking about the 26 for daily carry but the grip is almost to small for a decent fast draw from IWB concealment. The GAP floor plates should help with draw from vest pocket or shoulder rig, but I'll have to try the Glock +2 mag extension for IWB carry.

I have two 19's (both gen 4). Great choice!

I carry a gen 3, G26 IWB every day. The problem with owning a 26 is that it is the sweetest gun you'll ever own. Mine's on my hip when I got to the range, but I find myself shooting it more than the 19's that are in the bag.

    Isn't life great?

It definitely appears that I need a 26! Pic of my small collection...

Welcome, I'm also from Illinois and if we should get CC here, the 26 will be my choice also. In my opinion it is the best Glock made.

Hello, welcome to Glock Talk. I bought a Model 19 Gen 3 about 6 months ago and love mine. Did some trigger work and it shoots very nice.
