My 15 year old granddaughter is visiting from California.
We've been out shooting the .22 a couple times and she LOVES it!

Today I set up my G27 with the 9 mm LWD barrel and I shot it while she was shooting the .22.

Couldn't get her to try the 9, but don't want to push her. She's a bit gun-shy, says she watched some idiots on YouTube getting hit in the face by recoil. :steamed: She was a bit skittish with the .22 when she started but got over it OK.

She e-mailed some friends the attached collage.

I have been shooting with all the women in our extended family, and they all say how empowering it feels.

Most also talk about how relaxed they feel after shooting. It's a good release.

To know that they control the gun is good. To control something is good. To be able to control their own self defense is good.

    Congratulations sir.

I love to see women show interest in firearms and the shooting sports. Don

Forget the 9mm. Keep her shooting the .22 LR pistol. Encourage her in this every chance you get. Later... she'll more than likely move to larger calibers. But for the present, the .22 LR is just about ideal. And what's more, it will allow you to build a relationship with your granddaughter that will endure for years to come.
