So the media outlets are saying that feinseins new AWB will not contain any grandfathering???

    Can this be true?

I cant imagine the Gov taking thousands of dollars worth of property away from even a single person. I would think that there would have to be a grandfather clause of some sort.

Think positive. No ban of any kind will happen.

Nothing from Frankenstein concerning firearms would surprise me. The socialists want ALL firearms out of our hands. I can't remember right now which Demorat it was that wanted the "little flip up thingy on the barrel" outlawed (her words) I really don't think the Republiccants will give them anything. I hope! :dunno:

Banning them is one thing. Coming to take them is quite another.

Someone should put a mouth device on her. A muzzle.

Some of you guys may know, but isn't there a law that says there can be no unfunded mandates? Even if congress passed passed such a law, they would have to provide funding to make it happen. Seem like that would be very expensive.

I think we are likely to see no grandfathering in the sense of the last three failed assault weapons ban renewal bills where all transfers of "assault weapons" are banned so there aren't transferable/ legally sellable grandfathered preban guns. I think similar restriction on "assault weapon" "parts kits" will also make repair and maintenance more interesting.

You're looking at this all wrong. Asking for the full ban is the best thing for everyone, and here's why.
On the anti-gun side, it shows that they are "doing the right thing" and taking a strong stand.
On the pro-gun side, this makes it all but impossible for the law to pass.
We should be more afraid of them trying to nibble away at our rights from the shadows.

I have to agree. I'd rather see "them" try to pass an all-encompassing AWB (that will almost certainly be defeated) rather than see an attempt to ban online ammo sales.

I believe the most likely threat is a tax on guns and ammo to fund obumacare.

I mean no disrespect, as I know you are pro-gun.

But it is a political game of chipping away, to them. They start small and end big.

I do not want, and hope to stop, the "small" stuff in order to stop the eventual take over of the federal government.

Got admit it is fun to live in interesting time...

In casual talks with my LEO friends, they just laugh when the talk comes up about bans and confiscation....."Who is going to risk their lives to enforce such an unconstitutional law"

Do you think Big Sis will accomplish the stated goal of Obama to "have a civilian defense force equal to and as well equipped as our military". ? If so who will serve in it?

Maye we all should volunteer, and then take it apart from the inside...
