Just got back from the FFL and I couldn't be happier. Here's what I got it a Colt M1991a1 ORM (old roll mark). I haven't looked yet but I believe this was made around 1991.

This gun came to me in a trade from another glocktalk member.

It was customized by Ken Crawley coated with Ken Crawley GunKote..... all controls, as well as the upper, with the exception of the sights, barrel, and bushing, are what Mr. Crawley dubbed "Wilson Gray."

The frame and sights are black GunKote.

    It has:
    an aluminum trigger,
    Nowlin bushing,
    beavertail grip safety,
    and plain black Novak's sights.
    slide-to-frame tighten,
    Novak front night sight,
    crown the barrel,
    dehorn for carry,
    and refinished.
    Smith and Alexander magwell
    G-10 grips

The barrel fits nice and tight, Ken did a good job with the bushing fit. The grips are very comfortable. I really like the magwell. The trigger pulls smoother than my Custom Shop Kimber. The coating looks really nice in person the grey is almost metallic.

    Very nice indeed !

Ken Crawley is a VERY close friend of mine and has been for a long time now. I have let him do work on my stuff and it always comes back perfect, and stays that way.

He needs more exposure than what he has. His work is extremely excellent.

Your gun is proof of that. ;)
    Congrats

    Enjoy !

Oooh, nice! I like how the grips blends with the rest of the pistol.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I know it's not a high end piece, but I'm happy with it, and I think Ken did a great job on it.

    Very nice!

I personally prefer the ORM...and not just because I have one!

I like the ORM just fine. The NRM is a little more classic. But I really like the 1991 on the slide in the big font.
