Can anybody recommend an inexpensive (free) network monitoring program.

My kids are getting to the age where I need to start keeping track of them. Rather than put something like Yahoo Parental Controls which wouldent work on the iTouch, I'd like something that works on the network level, catching the URLs and message traffic from the iTouch IP and the Computer that the kids use IP.

You might want to look into using OpenDNS on your router to filter content. It does not provide detailed logging, but it it pretty good at blocking content. Just make sure your kids don't have access to the router and set consequences if they decide to unplug and/or reset it ;)

I'm not really interested in blocking content. I'm more interested in knowing what content is being delivered (web, and mail/message).
