.NET Framework v.1.1.4322 problems...

Discussion in 'Tech Talk' started by Indy_Guy_77, Jul 13, 2007.

  1. Recently downloaded and installed the above update from Microsoft Update.

Now, when I try and put my computer into "Standby" (which I do most of the time, rather than shutting it off to save time while waking up), I get an error saying that THIS particular update isn't allowing my computer to enter standby mode.

    I'm at a loss!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

  2. If you don't use Net Framework and don't have any programs that require it you should uninstall it. It's a huge program that really uses up the system resources.

I had some problems with some licensed software at work after a dot net framework update. Uninstalling the latest update fixed the problem for me.

  4. well, I uninstalled the offending update. That did the trick!

Then I had to tell Windows that I no longer wanted the Security Center to let me know that I needed updates. heh.
