Nephew may be a convert...

  1. My Nephew dropped his M&P 9C off last night for me to make him an OWB holster. He fondled my G30 for some time and said hold off on the holster, "I may buy one of these". He loves his big buck Sigs the most but for carry it's the M&P 9C for him. He wanted to carry a 45 but his Sigs are all too big and heavy. He couldn't believe the G30 is almost exactly the same size as the 9C and weight is within 2 ozs. I told him "no problem, if he gets a G30 for carry a hair dryer and 10 minutes I can make it fit perfect". I put the 13+1 G21 mag in and he really liked that. He has an M&P 9C, fullsize 9, full size 40 and a full size 45 but they make nothing compared to the G30. Maybe I should let him know about the G30/36 hybrid rumered to come out.

I wonder if shooting them side by side might prod him along the decision path.

  3. He likes the trigger and the grip doesn't bother him. I told him we'll go to the range or he can take it and try it out. The M&P is a fine pistol but if you want a .45 with good capacity in a small package the G30 fills the void.

  4. S&W makes a .45 compact.
