Our nephew has enlisted in the Army and reports November 2, 2006. There will be a party for him at the end of October. Our question is, what would be something he could use during basic? Would money work or is there something else he could use? Any suggestions are welcomed.

    Thanks. :patriot: :patriot:

Money should not be a big issue in Basic Training. Letters from home are always a good idea. Let him know that you are proud of him. Just don't put a bunch of stickers and fruity stuff on the envelope... the poor kid will get smoked.

There is a limited amount of things they can take to basic. If he takes something not on the list they will just confiscate it.

Mail...That's the best thing. Letters from home. If he has a girlfriend tell her not to spray perfume on the letter...THAT will get them going for sure.
