This gun is going to be shot in match competition, so what stocks/grips would you recommend for it?

I had an extra set of "Carbon Creations" and just threw them on. Don't know that I'll keep them.

What would you suggest? (average size hands, long fingers, nothing unusual)

If you're talking action type matches versus Bullseye type, I would probably go with something from VZ.

i prefer full checkered cocobolo grips, they work well for me.

  4. something that will allow a good purchase...I like Quack's suggestion...have a pair like these on both my Kimber and my Springfield...sharp checkered and it provides a strong grip with the hand...

If you are looking for something to put on a CMP, or NRA gun. You probably should consult the rule books first. Some grips are allowed, some are not.

I prefer all my grips to be double diamond wood.

Esmeralda should have some grips that would look great on your Colt!
