EDIT...I was told the obvious, if I can find one, it will be polished aluminum, not stainless. A good friend just bought himself a new S.S.Taurus 1911 with a picatinny rail. I'd like to surprise him with a stainless steel tactical light, or laser that would compliment it. Trouble is, I've never seen one that's not black. Have any of you guys got a source? I know nothing about 1911's, other than they are in a class of their own. Is putting a tac. light on one an unspoken no-no, (seriously)? It does have the rail...thanks

There's nothing wrong with putting a tac light on a 1911. Never seen a "stainless" light though, I think you're SOL on that.

Surefire made a limited edition of their x300 in silver. I did a search but only got results to other forums. They're out there but very difficult to find.
