I have a glock 19 gen4 that I have taken the slide off to clean and now when I try to put back on it almost get on but stops when the rear of slide is almost even with the frame and then stops and I am unable to get it back on.
Any help will be apreciated, I have done this a million times with all my Glocks but have never had this happen before and not sure what I did or need to do to fix it.

    Thanks

Make sure mag is not in.

Check that the recoil spring is properly seated.

Spring is seated correctly and Mag is not in weapon. It just stops like it is hitting something but I don't see anything out of place.

Ejector is probably not in line with the slot in the end plate and you are slamming the point of the ejector into the back of the slide.

Perhaps it was the rear slide plate not fully seated.

Is anybody else aroused at the thought of his wife being able to just grab the gun and throw the slide on?

I had this issue with my 'new' G19 after I got it a few months back.

Not for sure just what went wrong...but I believe I had the recoil spring not seated right.

A little bit of careful manipulating..and I managed to get the top-end back off...and the next attempt at reassembly was succesful.

Hold the slide muzzle end pointed down, press the firing pin safety plunger to let the firing pin slide forward (protruding through the hole), release the plunger, then see if it assembles easier. Or, push the trigger bar forward before assembly.
