Need help numbering lines in MS Word 2003

Discussion in 'Tech Talk' started by Drjones, Apr 6, 2009.

  1. as titled, I need to number the lines (sentences) in a Word 2003 document that I have created. I don't need to number every single line, only chunks here and there.

I found the function in file/page setup/layout/line numbers but when I highlight a block of text and try to number it, Word inserts all sorts of funky page breaks. When I try to manually delete the page breaks, the line numbering goes away.

Here is a Microsoft KB article I found: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HP052312431033.aspx

    Can anyone please help me??

    Thank you!!!
