Had it narrowed down to TRP or Valor.Talked to Springfield about accuracy of TRP and was told 2 1/2" at 25 yards.[IMG] Then spoke to Springfield Custom Shop and was told to get it down to 1 1/2" would take $500+.By then in cost Im close to Wilson Combat territory with 1" Guarantee. So what about the Valor? Havent spoke with anyone at DW(no answer).Anyone know what they will state is the accuracy of the Valor?
I keep thinking about the Wilson X-TAC (parkerized)my dealer had for $2100 i past up.Im beginning to think I should have bought it. Looks are great but I want accuracy above all else.I could live with anything under 2" though.
    thanks for any help

If accuracy is what you want go with a Baer.. you can get one with a 1.5" at 50 yds for right around 2k..

The TRP's accuracy is news to me. Ive shot tons of semi customs and havent noticed a difference in accuracy, just fit. However, i never took the time to bench shoot them, i just run them shooting freestyle, up to 25 yds.

Surely I can get a 1911 that will shoot under 2" at 25 yds for around $1500. :dunno: Dont want to go over that if I dont have too.

I wouldn't get carried away worrying about those accuracy guarantees.

All Les Baers are 3" at 50 YARDS, and you can get 1 1/2" at 50 yards for an up charge.

Some are standard at 2 1/2", such as the SRP.

Any good 1911 is going to be capable of great accuracy. I'd worry more about whether or not you like a particular model's overall feel and feature set than some sort of superficial guarantee.

I just never really saw someone shop for a 1911 based primarily on an accuracy guarantee before. :headscratch:

which i why i asked if he could shoot 2" @ 25yrds for it to really matter vs a 2.5" gun.
