I sell cell phones for verizon, sprint, and t-mobile. The original Chocolate was a horrible phone. Poor reception, poor usability, poor durability. The Samsung is a V-cast tv phone, if you do not want to use V-cast TV or are in an area where it is unavailable it is a waste of money. verizon does not have any really nice sliders out right now. What features are you looking for in a phone? There are better phones on verizon but most phones are flip phones.

Well, I can tell you that in general, both Samsung and LG make excellent electronics, including cellphones.

I'd go into a Verizon office and play with both, check out features, see if you can make a test call. Sometimes LG earpieces are 'tinny' sounding...mine never bothered me. it was still clear, if slightly digitized.

I ended up with the black chocolate. I like it. I can do most things without ever sliding it open.

The only thing I do not like is the bluetooth interface is not as easy as on the razr... the phone asking for commands is in a tiny voice and i have tried to 'train' the phone and not sure what the issue is.

I did not buy it to play music but I am looking forward to the memory stick and cable I have ordered. The music I have downloaded sounds ok. They have bluetooth headphones that allow you to listen to music and then answer a call and go back to music... will have to see how much I like it as a music player. I have a 1gb Zen Nano that I love and connect to my pc at work...

The camera and screen is WAY better than the razr

    Will post more....
