So I have "backed up" my DVDs to my hard drive and now I want to burn the to a DVD that will play on my DVD player. I can't find anything that will work in my DVD player, they only work on my puter.

Also when I play my ripped(Smartripper 2.41) movies on my computer(Power DVD) there are no subtitles or closed caption, is this something I can turn on or something? according to Smartripper I am ripping subtitles also. It works when I play the origonal DVD.

Use either DVD Deecrypter or DVD Shrink. Both are Freeware and work well.

I would agree to use DVD Shrink to burn the dvd back to a disk. With dvd shrink you can do a complete backup of the movie or you can just re-auther the movie.dvd shrink is the best(to bad its no longer supported):( I have never used smart ripper so i cant help you there (i have always used DVD Decrypter to put my movies on the HD)but its no longer supported either :(
