NC gets castle doctrine, 'stand your ground', concealed carry in banks, and a reduced window for the sheriff to approve or deny an application for concealed handgun permit, along with a few other goodies. Was ratified and signed last Thursday. I'm not sure if it's been posted before.

Unfortunately we didn't get restaurant carry. IMHO that was the largest issue on the table, and that was taken out of the bill. Hopefully it will come up again in the next State congressional session.

Wait.....you mean to tell me there was an actual law saying you couldn't carry in a bank in NC?

Sometimes i guess NY isn't so bad.

Only concealed. open carry in banks has been legal, unless the bank is posted No Weapons. Now concealed carriers can carry as well if it is not posted.

  5. :wow: That does not make sense but then again when does any government make sense. :whistling:

Castle Doctrine win was huge for us. IMO, that was the key provision of the bill.

Goes in effect 12-1. Very happy with the castle doctrine. Also NC now has reciprocity with all states with valid CWP? Think thats what I read.
