The good thing is, you and your partner got home safe and sound. He's one of the guys who dont use FA for self defense, mayabang at irresponsible gun owner yan, tsk!

Good thing you kept your composure and did not gave-in to his bull****. Daming ganyan ngayon and to think that kasama pa ang pamilya nya.

It could have gone both ways. Only you can say for sure if you made the right decision at the time. The fact that you're still alive to tell us your story is pretty much the only thing that matters now.

I would have gone for cover immediately like behind my own vehicle or a nearby wall and then drawn my own firearm while shouting "Boss, ayoko ng gulo! (Sir, I don't want any trouble. Please lower the gun and let's just go our own separate ways! Sorry!) This is exactly what I did during a stoplight incident on my way to Laguna sometime last year. My mind was clear during the event but I felt like throwing up right after the situation was diffused. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

Most guys who use their guns for intimidation especially during traffic altercations have no intention of pulling the trigger. But I didn't want to take the chance. What if he wasn't like MOST guys? Buhay mo yun eh.

Glad you got out of it fine, Valor1. A cool head and compassion for other people in the area saved the day. But in the off-chance that it happens again, please shoot him. Twice.

those kind of people are exactly the ones that shouldnt be allowed to own firearms. They are the ones who gives us a bad image in public.

Report the incident without delay while it is still fresh in your memory.

Let us know the outcome of the investigation. Dito sa amin tangal na ang kanyang permit to possess plus he will be charged with "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" or in my book "Yabang without a Cause".:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Tama ka lang bro valor! You never know what could have happend if you did not kept cool! Tuloy mo plan mo bro! Di pwede pamarisan mga taong ganito!

  11. There are may cases you can file against him, bro. You can file grave threat. You can also elevate it to attempted homicide or murder. Then, once you have the required info, i.e. name, address, you can file an admin case against him with PNP-FED for the cancellation of his FAL and PTC. Stay safe, bro!

I'm glad you and your loved one are safe and unharmed, Valor1.

Kudos on exercising the higher standard of care.

Situations like these make me wish we had dashboard mounted cameras on our vehicles, to give us additional evidence against dangerous individuals such as that AUV driver.

    salamat sa inyo mga bros.

am also thankful na walang barilang nangyari. bikethief, since the day I decided to pack a gun since 1994, ang mindset ko talaga is to use the hadgun only and only if necessary. pero if this happened na nag-iisa lang ako, God forbid di ko alam kung sino ang nasa dyaryo ngayon.

Once you get his name , i-timbre mo din sa FED

I'm guessing duwag mga taong naglalabas agad ng baril to intimidate an unarmed adversary
Had a friend who was in the same situation, kaso wala sya paki-alam kung may collateral damage, w/c included poor me who was sitting on his passenger side
Naglabas ng baril yung kagitgitan nya, so he got out of the car and nagpaputok ng 2 daring the other guy to come out
The other guy ducked then bigla umarankada paalis

errr...before you try this method of de-escalation , ito po ay nangyari sa probinsya
Di sya pwede gamitin sa kamaynilaan

i would really like to see the outcome of this. sana marevoke PTC niya. masmasaya pa kung wala siyang PTC para hindi tayo damay :)

it really doesnt matter kaninong fault ang traffis situation, the fact is, siya nanutok ng baril. period.

    please do update us.

valor, good thing you got out safe from the situation.

though just to remind us guys, consder also the what if's. sometimes having double thoughts make us undecided and can not act properly in the situation. it's good that valor, consider the people around him, even the company of the BG. what if the BG did not? what if he's drunk and willing to pull the trigger? what if he's like Rolito Go? and what will happen to our love ones who are waiting for us at home, unknowingly what happened?

as responsible gun owners, especially for the purpose of self defense, my suggestion is let us set our minds how and when to use our guns. my reaction to the situation could be, once i saw him approaching with a gun on his hand, i'll get my gun, aim it at him and tell him to drop his gun (which possibly he will be surprised, he would not just carry his gun if he thinks i have one (element of surprise), and that's why when i'm in the car i put my gun in an accessible place), if he didn't, it's him who forced me to. use our car as a cover for our advantage.

though of course, it's great what happened to valor didn't escalate.

Bikethief's and Saki's suggestions are what I hope to be able to do in that kind of situation. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst, ika nga. Sabi nga ni Clint Smith, "when in doubt, draw your gun. We can always say sorry if it doesn't turn out what we thought it was"

Valor, I'm glad that that event turned out the way it did. The fact that everybody involved went home in one piece to their families is proof that what you did was the right thing to do in that situation. Kung kaya mong i-prove yung mas mabigat na kaso then the right thing to do is to go and file it and consider it as a social obligation of helping the law clean our society of people like mamang mayabang na mi baril. Saganang akin lang po... be safe bro.

Practice retrieving your firearm whether from under the seat the glove box or wherever but practice, practice. Whenever I am behind the wheel, my .38 is wedged between my upper right leg and the console unholstered. The gun is out of sight because I usually place a reading material or a piece of clothing over it.
