    It back !

The Nations Gun Show is this coming weekend at the Chantilly Expo Center. I just got my discount admission card ("One Dollar" off) in the mail.

This show will be a major ammo run for me.

I will be there Saturday morning.

  3. I'm going Friday, and might return again Sunday.

I already stocked up on ammo, mags, etc, so I don't plan to get overcharged in the latest Obama-panic.

    However, it could still happen!

Regarding ammo, I'll bring a small hand truck in case prices are right.
  4. Looks like I'll be going on Sunday around noon. Probably just looking to get 3 mags and a box of ammo maybe.

I'm going to look just to see what the prices are like for AR's. Something tells me there will be very little available and all the dealers will price gouge.

I was in Dicks (Fair Oaks) and the sporting goods guy was chatting about the gun show. He said that he had heard from his wholesaler that the price of ammo at the gun show will be up 50% or more.
  7. That was my plan, but I will probably just order something on line. I'm really just looking for a stripped lower.

Back from my Friday visit. It was a zoo.

I do not think I have ever seen anything quite like what was going on today. It looked like a fire sale at Macys.

The poor folks at Dark Sun were overwhelmed with crazy's buying about everything they had. The ammo was flying out the door. It didn't matter what the price was, everyone was buying... with few questions asked.

I managed to get one of the German GSG-5Ps. I suspect they will be illegal as hell in the months to come.

Went this afternoon as was a madhouse. Lines were wrapped around the building to get in. Ammo was going out the door on hand trucks like crazy. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the ammo guys are sold out by mid-day tomorrow. All the tables were overwhelmed.

Picked up a CPO Sig 228 and a few mags and got out of dodge.

A crass commercial plug for a friend of mine who is at the show- Gary's Guns & Transfers.

Please look him up and tell him RussP on Glock Talk sent you. I don't get anything for it, he's just a decent, honest guy.

channel 4 news had a story on it on Saturday. Video footage of the line out the door and chaos inside. Never seen so many people at this show. I'm sure its like that around the country at the Gun Shows...

I didn't bother to go and did my orderering of ammo before the election and a couple order right after. Didn't want to deal with the madness.

What were the prices of ARs and ammo going for at the Nations GUn Show?

Cheapest NIB AR's I saw were around $1200. Not too many advertised AR lowers either. Going price for those were around $200. NIB Glock's started around $520 sans tax. Gone are the days when I got my NIB G19 for $480 out the door. That was back in 2003. :(

  14. I did see a few stripped lowers for $200 and one for $150. But I am going to wait till next week and order (2 i hope) from the web.

A buddy's dad was there with an odd eastern European .37 caliber, he is looking for more mags for it, but found none.

I did see alot of empty tables, and didn't think the $25 asking price for most glock mags to be sensible either.

The entry fee is such a ripoff... The Showplace in richmond used to be only $5,$6 and now $7, but what you have to pay at the expo is ridiculous....

Im glad i got all my hi cap glock mags for $15 or so online from one of the sponsors here on this sight last year...last show couple months ago, glocks were going for $480 and now $520....aks were $380 now, probably $400 and up......
