I picked up a pound of N-105 a few months ago cuz I was impressed with the VV's data with 180gr bullets. After reading several threads here I realized that VV's data was all to optimistic as far as velocity goes.

Anyway, I loaded up a bunch of 180gr JHP with N-105 staring at 9gr and working up to 10.5gr. I was pleasantly surprised with the 10.5gr charge. 24 rounds with a high of 1234fps and a low of 1218fps. Accuracy was excellent and recoil was about average for a 1200+ round. Not near as fast as VV claims, but not to bad. I kinda like it.
  2. About six months ago I tested my N105/180gr JHP reloads starting with 10gr ending at 11gr. Since range temperature was just about 50 ºF (10 ºC) I reached "only" 1227 fps avg. with 11gr. What barrel do you have? Mine is stock G20.
