I started taking my wife to shoot in IDPA matches because just shooting paper at the range was getting boring. Now she wants to shoot my G17 at the next match. I guess we need to get a G19 ordered as well and I'm still waiting on my G34 to arrive. I love that this is our hobby. The G26 is running great and she is learning so much each time we compete. This is only her 3rd IDPA match and she was smiling the entire time.

Here are a couple of videos of her from today....I already see a lot of training/techniques we can work on for the next match.

You are a lucky man. It looks like more guns and more fun are in store for the both of you.

My wife likes shooting IDPA too. I let her pick out any gun she wanted to buy for it, and she choose an XD 9mm service size. She liked the grip of it best, and it has a shorter reach to the trigger than Glocks, even than the g4.

Yea, she is really getting into guns. She shot her first GSSF Match last month. Steel challenge this month. I'm seeing a three gun competition in our future.

Last year she built her first ar-15...

She demonstrates excellent control of the pistol.

    Good Luck.

Here, show her this. A couple of my wife's standing 2 handed unsupported slowfire targets. The left is 12 yards, and the right is 25 yards.

Yeah, she's been shooting for a few years, and is an NRA pistol instructor :)

That's great. She shoots better than some guys I've seen on the firing line. Wish my wife would do that. :wow::whistling:

Very lucky indeed! May I ask, what got her interested?
