"My" two SP101's

    I bought my Mom an SP101 w/CT laser grips a couple of years ago for her CC/HD gun. Great gun. Then I recently picked up a Gemini Custom SP101. :wow: Wow! What a difference. The GC is much tighter. I haven't shot them side by side yet, but the difference in just playing with them side by side is quite substantial. And that's not taking anything away from the original SP101, as I'm a HUGE Ruger revolver fan. My latest purchase of the Wiley Clapp GP100, makes a grand total of 8 Ruger revolvers that I own/owned. :cool: Here's a couple of pictures of them side by side.

    I CC'd mine today to go visit her, but swapped out, once I got here, and toted the original with the CT's on it. Both CC great in my Occidental IWB holster. The SP101 is a great CC revolver, that really packs a punch, for those of you looking for a CC revo. :thumbsup:

    The GC SPs are amazing firearms, they really take a very solid revolver to a whole new level!

    No doubt! :cool: And like I said before, that's not taking anything away from the original SP101's. Great little revo for sure. :thumbsup:

    I enjoyed mine, and will replace it, along with my GP100, when funds are more favorable to stocking and shooting more calibers.

    The sp101 is one of my favorite revolvers...nice pair you have there.

    The two grips look pretty different. Do you prefer one over the other? I'm pretty partial to the Hogue rubber monogrip on mine... mine is 'only' the 38 special variant made in the first year of production, 1989. Paid $300 OTD back 10/07. I think it was such a good deal because it is 'only' a 38 special although it takes +p ammo. Rugers are the best deal going, especially the newer guns. I bet old Bill Ruger hasn't stopped spinning in his grave!

    Very nice. I like the wood grips. I need to get some wood grips for mine.

    I found one for $529. Was debating to pick one up and ended up not getting it. Not much of a revolver guy but if i had to pick one it's the 2 1/4 sp101 357mag. With wooden grips of course.

    Real nice. I'm a recent convert to Ruger DA revos.
    I see GC is now accepting work again, they must have gotten caught up.

    For my education and because I have an SP101 that I use for CCW, how and where did GC make it tighter? Thanks, Don
