I know, I know, I asked all of you what Kimber to buy and it's not a Kimber. I just couldn't pull the trigger again on a Kimber and I'm a Cobra pilot and this thing has something that looks like snakeskin on the grips - which was all the motivation I needed.

    ;)

Hey, did anyone tell you your Kimber has a Dan Wesson advertisement on it?

A fine gun. Congratulations. I don't know that Kimber makes anything that will equal a Valor.

Brian, it was a conversation with you that put Dan Wessons on my RADAR.

For all you Dan Wesson Valor aficionados, what brand of magazine does the gun like best?

Help me out here, guys. I want to get some mags on order - Wilson 47Ds, Tripp Research, more Dan Wesson mags, other suggestions?

    Thanks

So far my Valor runs with any mag; however, I only order Tripps anymore. I have never had an issue with them in any of my various 1911's, so I'm sticking with them.

BTW - congrats on picking the Valor over ANY Kimber. You will be very glad you made that choice!

As I've said before I really like the 47Ds for the money but the springs just aren't as robust as the Cobra, Power or Checkmate mags. I haven't tried the Wilson ETM mags yet but they are close to the price of the Cobra's. One thing about Wilson is if you crack a follower or split a seam they will send you out a replacement no questions asked.
