Congrats on your new G19. You picked one of the best Glocks there is and you picked the best IWB holster. I have the same holster that I use with my G23 and G19 and anyother Glock I own that I can fit in it.

I see you didn't get the open slide version. Now get the C-clips as the J-clips are less secure.

By "J-clips" I assume you mean the standard clips (which is how they have them labeled on their website). I haven't noticed them being any less secure than holsters I've had from Blade-Tech with either their "Belt Loop" or what they label J-clips (which would be similar to the Comp-Tac C-clips). Just my observation though.

Also, the Comp-Tac standard clips seem to be much easier to to get on and off, while still remaining secure while I'm carrying. I think for most part it comes down to having the correct size belt/holster clip combination. :dunno:

Nice! I plan on picking up my 19 gen 4 on Friday...maybe today if I can get off early enough. I also plan on getting the same holster.

As others have said, you can't go wrong with either choice. Hope they both work out for you (I know they have for me). :wavey:

    BTW, welcome to GlockTalk! :)

Thanks everyone! i am loving both! The only trick is breaking in the leather on the holster. I haven't had any issues with the clips

Nice gun & holster. I have the slide version, and it's the most comfortable IWB I've ever tried.

Don't forget to put some Loctite Blue on the screw threads. They can work loose over time.

Yup, J-clips referring to the stock clips. They were secure for me as well, but I like the idea of having C-clips because it's secure in its C shape clamp from the top and bottom of the belt.

The standard clips are definitely easier to get on and off, but in my opinion, better to know that they are secure rather than just 'simple to get on/off."
