I bought a used lightweight commander last week. Nice gun, BUT I prefer something alittle heavier
So today I picked up a new Colt Commander for $825. Feels nice. I like the weight compared to my LW. I cannot wait to break her in. This will become my new carry gun once she has a few hundred rounds through her.

One thing I noticed about this Commander is that the slide fits kinda loose on the frame. Actually 3 of the Colts I handled yesterday were all like that. Hopefully mine is almost 100 % reliable. The looseness doesn't bother me as long as it shoots. I am kinda hoping the grip safety doesn't draw blood when shooting. If it does, I am putting a WC extended on it.

I was going to change the grips, but these wood ones look great in person.

When I bought my stainless on stainless last month they had the same model as yours as well. I liked the bigger grip safety of the stainless gun and so I bought it instead. I loves me a blued 1911.
