I picked one up a couple weeks ago at a local gun show. The first thing I did was remove the plastic safety and replace it with a steel "ski slope" type from Brownell's. I also installed a "wave" washer between the magazine extension and tube.

The front sight is not canted, it has a sling swivel stud on the forearm piece and a knurled tubular charging handle installed from the factory.

I put roughly 100 rounds of low brass through it today and found it to be more smooth than my 1100 tactical and considerably lighter.

I will give it a good workout at this month's 3-gun match on Saturday.

Good times! 930SPX is my favorite shotgun! It has significantly lighter recoil than some of my other shotguns...feels really smooth. Glad you like it man!

You wont be sorry. I’m sure you know by now that there are a number of 930 SPX owners on GT that can not say enough about the great shooting and functioning 930 SPX. Have fun and if you should have any questions just post or send a PM and we will be more than happy to help.

    Hey Dragon,
Very nice, quick question though, you mentioned a 'wave' washer . . .what is that?

I think I"ll be doing the safety upgrade you've got as well on my SPX.
