I was just out and about and stopped in my local cop shop to check on a friend, and there it was a used 29 in his case. I haven't been able to find a 29 in this area at all. I quickly gave him a deposit and I will pick it up on the 30th. I can't wait to join the ten ring. I have been reading most post here about the 29 and all seem very positive. Next will be the range report at the end of the month. Now I'll be concentrating on the best defensive round to carry. I currently carry a SA LW operator and a 27 as my BUG.

Very nice. It will be awesome to welcome you to the 10 Ring. Looking forward to a range report and your feedback.

I have a G20 that I love, but I intend to get a 29 at some point. Make sure to stop by the 10mm reloading page too if that is of interest.

I really enjoyed shooting my g29. Unfortunately, it had to go to help pay for my DW CBOB 10mm. :)

    Congrats on the find!

I did the same thing, walked into my local gun store a few weeks ago that they had a G29 that was used. I stripped it down and it looked like it had never been shot. I put it and a S&W M&P in .357 Sig on layaway and picked them up last week.

I have not been able to shoot them yet but I am really looking forward to the G29, it should go nicely with my G20.

I wish I had gotten a G29. My G29sf grip is a little too small. Congrats!

I went back to pick up my used 29 and was told sorry we made a mistake and sold your gun. You should have seen the look on my face lol. Well to make my day better a new 29 was ordered and I picked it up on Mar 2nd. I know the manager of the store and he hooked me up with a box of ammo so all is well. I will make it to the range this week and give you guy an update.

That almost happened to me when I ordered one. I was filling out the paperwork and waiting on my background when one of the other employees nearly sold it to some other guy that saw it out on the counter. I would have cried if he had. Had to wait 2 weeks to get it in.

My ammo from Underwood arrived today. Just waiting on the wife to go to work and I'm off to the range. It took just two short days for the ammo to arrive. I ordered the 165 Gold dot. I think the 165 grain will be one of the best man stoppers out there. I'm already thinking about a Glock 20. Thank you all for your help. Range report coming this weekend. I fired 100 rounds through the 29 already. I can't think of the ammo brand...3D I believe. The 29 proved very accurate at 7 and 10 yards. I take a picture of the target after I shoot the Underwood. Thanks again!

Man are you kidding me! First forgive me I didn't take a picture of the target, but I just can't explain what just happened. I helped a friend give a concealed handgun class this morning and waited until we were done to break out the G29. I had already fired about 100 rounds of Impact 3D last week, but I was ready to test the Underwood 165 Gold dot.
Let's just say there was no comparision. The Impact 3D felt as though I was shooting just a big .40 cal. The Underwood was a real banger and accuracy was OUTSTANDING! i shot from the 7 yard line and just made one big hole. I did have one FTF, but that was my fault as I caught myself limp wristing on a double tap. So what happens now? My 1911's are already clean and placed in the safe, and my G27 is being used as my BUG. Thanks to everyone that told me about the G29. I'm now looking for the big brother G20!!! Anybody want a TRP...by the way I think the G29 punished me lol. I have definetly been bitten by the 10mm bug!!!

I own five Glocks and one almost always comes with me to the range. BUT, I would love to have a 3rd 1911. My advice is don't sell it, just get a bigger gun safe.

But, yeah, Glocks can be very surprising. I shot my best PPC score with my G20.

Here's a little something I whipped up with my G34 at seven yards.
