More than a few who try a G26 like it as much or more than some bigger 9mm Glocks.
Love my gen 4 26- picking up my gen 3 19 tomorrow as its arrived finally. Lets see how it goes, 26 or 19? Hmmm...

I too have found the baby Glocks to be more accurate, which is why I've narrowed my arsenal down to one gun: a Gen 4 Model 26. Last year Harris Outdoors published The Complete Book of Handguns and Massad Ayoob had an excellent article on the inherent accuracy advantages of the G26. Pick up a copy and be enlightened !!!
with the g19 you'll probably find you like to shoot what you carry
The G26 is my favorite Glock. I also carry one daily and use it for home defense.
From what I have been reading on the forums, most folks who own a 26 get a 19 and vice versa. I just got a 26 and I also plan to get a 19 to have in my collection. Why not, it's a great gun to have.
I also find the G26 more enjoyable to shoot. Probably because it's a small gun, I feel like I have more control over it, thus shooting it better...go figure
I agree have the G17 and G 26 by far only use the G26. I use the magpul ext on mine I also a a clip with the pierce pg-26 xl I carry the clip with the magpul
Sweet baby Jesus.. He said "clip".
OP, if you have a 17 then the next logical step would be a 26. Save the 19 for another day since its not all that different than your 17. With this setup, you'll have a full size pistol for nightstand/jacket duty and a subcompact for EDC. Problem solved. The 19 is very cool, and when you get one you might never use the 17 again, but if it has to be only two for now... I'd go full size and subcompact.
The G26 rocks! Best sub compact on the market, IMO.
I really like my gen2 19, but I kinda wish it were a gen3 23, just so I could do some barrel swapin'
I EDC a 26 and it's truly the sweetest gun in my arsenal.
I recounted this story before, but it's still funny and applies here IMHO...
Last summer, I wanted to try the gen4's and decided on a G19 to fit between my 17 and 26. My wife is an avid shooter and I asked her to come along to the range to help me run a couple of hundred rounds through the new 19 because I was gonna mostly shoot the 26.
On the way back from the range, she said, "You'd better stop by Spurlock's (my LGS) and buy another 19 because this one is now mine."
So I did. We now have two.
Just got back from puttin' a few rounds downrange, I shot the 26 and the 19.......26 is still my favorite
I have four Gen3 glocks, a G26, G27, G19, & G23. I have them all setup the same and I shoot them all. I put the Pierce + extensions on the G26 & G27, so all of the grips would feel the same.
I have noticed the same thing about the G26. It just shoot better for me and the G26 is my normal carry gun. I like it so much, I'm thinking about getting another G26.
I really regret trading my g26 off... At the time I needed a full size gun, and got an M&P 9 out of it. Next thing I know I ended up buying a 17, and a 34.... Wish I still had the 26.
definitely great idea.
Awh, go ahead and get a G19. You'll like them all!
I'm not sure if it's the grip shape, the dual recoil spring, or the grip glove, but I feel less recoil and muzzle flip with my 26 vs. my gen2 19. Anybody else notice this?
Less slide mass along with the dual recoil spring would be my guess.
The G19 is the only Glock I own. It is so universal and perfect that I cannot find a reason why I need another Glock.
