I had Lane at Cold Bore Custom customize the grip on my Gen 3 G19. Removed finger bumps, shaved down the hump and added "carry" texture. It fits my hand much better and I really like the look. Lane does great work. I still can't shoot worth a krap, but I look good doing it, lol.

So you had a back strap reduction? Did it make it easier to reach the trigger?

How much did that cost? Been thinking about getting it done to mine.

How does it compare to the feel of a unmodified gen 4? Can't decide on buying a gen 3 or 4 gen 3 feels to fat to me that's why I ask.

The reduction did make it easier for me to get to the trigger or at least it feels that way. I don't have large hands, so I always felt like I was stretching to get to the trigger. Not now.

The new texture is little more aggresive than stock texture. I feel like I can control the gun better. With stock texture, if my hand got wet (sweat) it would feel slippery.

He has a list of services and cost on his webiste. I paid the shipping cost to get it to him ($12.00) and he paid to get back to me, so it was kind of a wash.

I can highly recommend his work.

Hmmmm I have a G19 Gen 3 that's new. I was thinking about selling it, seeing how I just found a Gen4 G19. However that would be the cats meow with the frame all done up. Ron

More props for Lane's work. He did about the same for my G23. My favorite features are the undercut trigger guard and the removal of the finger humps. Not to mention, he limits the number of orders he will take so that he doesn't have an absurd turn-around time.

I emailed him, but haven't received a reply yet, I was wanting to know what the current turn around time was.

I saw a G19 frame the other day. I thought about getting it to have the custom work done on. But then you have 2 frames for one gun.

I appreciate everyone support and positive comments. I have been having all kinds of issues with my web hosting and email server system. It has in turn played hell with emails. I have also been extremely busy at my regular police job as well as shop work. I appreciate everyone patience and I promise I will respond to emails as quick as I can. TXPO

Im anxiously waiting on my G19 frame to get back from Lane! its been about two weeks now and the anticipation is killin me!:supergrin:

The stock grip of a Glock is the ONLY negative I can think of for the pistol.....so this will pretty much make it perfect in my eyes.
