    Thanks guys
I'm left-handed. I was trying to avoid adding any extra bulk to the grip, so the strip on the right is to add extra grip where my finger tips wrap around.
No. It is actually a 3M product. This stuff has a rubberized "feel" to it, non abrasive, increased gripability (wet or dry). Very comfortable.

    Well played sir! Well played!

I usually don't like grip mods that are permanent, but I REALLY like that look! Is it like the decal grip rubber?

Thanks for the + feedback guys

I used a razor blade to take off the majority of the factory texture, and cleaned it up with sandpaper. I used alot of test pieces to insure proper fit. It was VERY time consuming, and I had sore fingers for a couple of days from all of the sanding.

Yes. It is the same material. Funny thing is, decal grip uses a pre existing 3M product that can be found at some hardware stores (not just making it up, you can pull up the decal grip backing and see the original 3M backing).

Hay, I'm a south paw also, so I'll need a full report on how your "ridge" idea works.

sounds good, where did you get it.

Looks good. I would pick at it though. I'm a fidgeter.

I really wanted to avoid adding extra bulk to the grip. After I did the backstrap and finger grooves, I held the gun in my left hand and tried to shift it around with my right hand. Even though there was already a noticable improvement, I felt that it could be better. I experimented with a few different configurations, and liked this one the best (there is a couple of strips on the left side also). In a two hand grip, that strip really anchors your lead hand in place. I actually got a chance to go out today and do a little live fire practice with it. I was really impressed with how comfortable it was, and the gripability was amazing. After reading all of the "limp wrist" posts that have been on here lately, I wanted to give it a try. Even with only holding the gun firm enough to pull the trigger and keep it from falling , it was like it was velcroed to my hand. I am very satisfied with this mod, and would do it again in a heart beat if I got another glock. Oh, and by the way, I limpity limp limped as much as I could possibly limp wrist without dropping my gun in the mud, and after three 17rnd mags couldn't induce a single malfunction :tongueout:. Not implying that I'm better than anyone, just good for me :supergrin::supergrin:

What grit sandpaper did you use? if you use 1000 or 1500 it would turn out smooth as glass. Just wondering...

I am extremely interested in how you got the original checkering off without touch the borders! Did you use a mill that off?
