New here, figured Id join this forum since I am now a new GLOCK owner.......a couple years back I remember being at a gunshow and picking up a G19....Right then and there I felt like it was the pistol made for me. Well, fast forward a couple years, and I finally pulled the trigger (usually when I have extra money it goes on rifles) but I figured it was time....So I took my chances and bought a G19 Gen4 (im left handed)....I love the texture, and the bigger mag release (I operate it with my trigger finger). I cant decide on the M backstrap or none yet, though! :brickwall:

Anyway, Ive only been able to run 100 rds through'er so far, all ejected at the 4 oclock position, (ok two hit me in the head, but I hope its no reason for concern) Ordered an Archangel AIWB for it and ill be set!....I love this Pistol! Its an Austrian Beauty.

I have owned at least five different Glock models, the Gen. 3 19 was the first I bought and I still have it (A few thousand rounds later). I have since added a Gen. 2 19 and they are the only two Glocks I own. I don't want anything but a G19, they are perfect for me.

:wavey:Welcome Aboard Bro!!! Lots of good information here.. Lots of Wise Guys too!! But hey IT'S HOME!!

You picked a good starting point G19's are great!! In some regards its the best one gun combination that Glock offers... Small enough to conceal, fun range gun, serious HD/CCW Weapon all rolled into one!

    Good one!

Won't be long before you are searching out a G26 for easier concealed carry....

    Welcome!

I've got a Gen 4 G22 myself, but the feel of the 19 is what convinced me to go full-size auto vs a small frame revolver, which many recommended for concealed carry. The small revolver didn't feel right in my hand. I went with the 22 because that's what my city's reserve police carry. I'm applying to be a reserve.

Welcome and congrats; you can swap the mag release to the right side on a gen4 for lefty shooters.
