Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have been reading up on the utter awesomeness of the 10mm so I went out and bought one. Ordered some Talon grips and they make the gun even better. I was surprised at first on how multifaceted the 10mm really is.

The fact that this still is a "niche/cult" caliber really shows how powerful marketing is. If T.V. and the gun mags had front page pics and video of editors touting the true qualities of the 10mm, many would put down their 9's and 40's. Also the demand for properly loaded factory ammo would be there.

I plan on getting into reloading next winter for obvious reasons. I love to hike and I could not think of a better sidearm than the G20 with proper ammo for the lower 48. I like a multitasker, and the 10mm gives me that option. I honestly think the popularity of the 10 will continue to grow.

Does anyone have any hunting stories or effectiveness of the 10 used on game?

Amen Brother! I too just joined the wonderful world of Glock and now a 10mm fanatic as well. I did a lot of research and a recommendation from my brother, and I too find the 10mm to be truly an awesome handgun cartridge. I know we'll both enjoy our new G20s like everyone else that has them.

The best autoloading round in the best autoloading pistol, you sir are a wise man.

Load up your own if you don't currently do so... the world of 10mm will be your oyster.

I have a Glock 20, 22, 23, and 26. And I used to have a 19 which I stupidly got swindled from me by my brother. By far, the one I would keep above all of them is the 20. And this is before I get into reloading which I am about to do.

The 20 is perfect for almost all purposes. It's funny but if I were to be a hiker, I would take it in the woods over the super powerful hand cannons. Personally, having 15 rounds of controllable 10mm versus 6-8 rounds of jumpy, difficult to rapid fire mini-cannonballs seems like the way to go. There's a video on youtube you will easily find where some guy "rapid-fires" a Desert Eagle .50 AE. I doubt he would have hit his target in a survival situation more than once, if at all.

Hit the nail on the head in all respects. If you do roll your own you have the capability to make more powerful, more reliable, more accurate ammo than an
    Any manufacturer for less cost.

G-20 is my first handgun too. A sidearm for hunting, fishing, and camping.

It seems like the best compromise between power, weight, recoil, price of weapon, and versatility.

I just brought it home tonight!
