Shoot the living snot out of it. Shoot that M9 too.

AR's love to be shot, hard and long.
    Don't baby it!

Try to wear it out and I think you'll be impressed at the ruggedness
and dependability of the AR system.

You've got a fine weapon that will serve and protect you for a long time.

    It'll happen, it always does.

OP, that rifle will serve you well. Make sure everything that should be staked is, lube it, and shoot it. You'll get many years of reliable service out of it.

But haven't you heard? You can't trust an AR for SD/HD unless it's milspec. In the 1 in a 1,000,000 chance that the OP might need to use his STAG AR in a SD/HD situation, there is always the 1 in a 1,000,000 chance that a rifle, perfectly reliable up until that point, will fail when it's needed most.:rofl:

After having my Rock River for awhile now I am getting afraid to shoot it after reading what a mistake I made buying it, 1200 rounds, most accurate one I have shot and no problems.
ENJOY yours and shoot the heck out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be TOO surprised if the Tula doesn't run, but it seems to be more problematic in configurations known for being ammo picky (10.5" SBRs being a prime example). My SBR will eat it, but only once the gun gets warmed up. If I let the barrel cool down too far, or start out with Tula, it won't cycle. Hot chamber and barrel, though, and it'll eat Tula all day long. :dunno:

That looks nice. Have fun with it this weekend. I'm waiting on my Spike's Tactical. Lead time shown on the website is 6-8 weeks. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks since the order was placed.

Just shoot it. My Spike's gets a steady diet of Tula. I've purposely ran every variety of cheap steel cased ammo I can find. Call it a mini torture test. I've never had a FTFeed, or FTE. I've had one FTFire with Wolf black box...it had a hard primer that didn't even fire on the second try. I don't blame the gun.

    Enjoy your new rifle.

The only problem i've encountered with steel cased ammo is ejecting straight back at me. Got hit in the saftey glasses and my shoulder several times. Ejects brass perfectly tho.

Tula is hit or miss depending from rifle to rifle, even the same model. It runs fine in my rifle. It's inaccurate and underpowered but good for plinking and range fun.

    dc2integra,

Congrats! I just recently purchased an AR as well. I have put some rounds through it and I have fell in love!!!!!

I was strictly a handgun guy until I bought this. Now I am hooked. Do a lot of research before buying everything and look out for pointless bias regarding brand. There is a lot of good stuff out there, but there is also a lot of crap. Happy Shooting!
