Just got back from meeting a guy who was selling a second gen Glock 22 that he inherited from an aunt who passed away. He had it posted for 350 gun only and booklet. No magazines or box. I said I'd take a look at it after getting a picture last night.

When he pulled it out of the gun bag dust actually came out of it. I noticed it had the original adjustable rear sight. I asked if I could take it down. He said as long as I knew how to put it back together. I smiled. All the parts inside are still black. There was a little bit of the copper left on the slide. The recoil spring/guide rod is non capture. The bore is in excellent condition.

After checking serial number: PE, I noticed it was born Aug 1990.

So I'm wondering what do you guys think? Let me know..

if its what you wanted good job, but no mags would have been a deal breaker for me. But I am a little spoiled locally, my range gets gen2 22s in all the time in the $350 range.

Either way it will serve you well. These earlier gen glocks are quickly becoming my favorites.

I have a Gen3 G22 that I carried on Duty and now my range gun or go to gun when need be. I have 15 mags in the safe alone. I figured why not since it was a Gen 2 model. That was my very first duty gun before we moved to Gen3's.. I have just never seen one this old with non capture guide rod and the adjustable sight that goes past the slide at the back...

I would offer him $300 because of no mags.

Bummer about the mags, but otherwise looks good. I have a G22 gen2 and it's an awesome & powerful shooter. You'll enjoy it. BTW, my serial # is CNAXXX US (LEO service weapon) that I estimated to be made around 1997, so yes, yours is definitely an earlier. Looks to be in better cosmetic shape than mine from the looks of your pic.

I think you got a good deal, even without the mags. It would have came with non-drop free mags anyway. You probably would have ended up purchasing new drop free mags regardless. My brother has one very similar except without the adj sights. His goes bang every time. I actually like the grip with no grooves. I used to have a G21 Gen 2 that I sold years ago. It was one of those deals that I regretted. I have a 21sf now.

Tacops gets a pristine 2nd gen, he has all the mags and accessories he needs, he can request from Glock or his unit armorer upgrade parts, but again best of all a pristine cond 2nd gen G-22, a plastic fixed replacement rear is easy to find, save the fragil adjustable. All he needs now is time, targets and ammo.
