Lemme guess, big cam and N2O?
No nitrous yet, just bolt ons and the big cam. Makes ~450 hp and runs a high 11 as is though.
I'm chubbing up:embarassed:
Is that 450 at the crank or wheels? Either way that is pretty respectable, but I am just curious.
Est. output at the crank. 385 at the rear wheels though an automatic tranny with 4k stall speed converter.
very nice, now just drop it some. Just watch that front end, you always see people scraping f bodies.
Ride height isn't going anywhere. It's stock ride height but looks better due to the factory ground effects.
I don't like lowered cars that scrape on everything, and it screws with the suspension geometry. I'd have problems hooking off the line.
if you want to hook of the line throw a coilover setup for drag in there and put some bfg drag radials or some slicks on it.
wana race 11.30 got to love a ford
There is always somebody (or in my case, many people) quicker/faster.
Want to run our daily driver's against one another?
when i'm not driving my company truck to the job site i drive the stang so that would make it my daily driver, by the way you do got a nice ride even for a chevy dont let that big hood fool you 11.30 is on the gas the car is more show than go it's got an 7 sec cage and paint job with an 12.5 sec motor and 1130 with a 125 shot. some times i cant buy a race because of how it looks but it's fun to turn heads and talk trash some times. its just a 302 with heads cam and intake all trickflow stuff nuthin special and a whole lot of suspention eiboch drag launch south side lowers 90/10 struts 50/50 rear shocks and a whole lot of swet built it wiht help from all my buddys and my dad he did the cage for me
Mine ran 11.92 with my old POS TCI torque converter, in June heat and humidity. I tried to get new converter (Yank SS4000) plus cool weather times a couple months ago and blew the stock posi. I could only afford a used $200 stock replacement so no running on the track until I get a different daily driver. When that time comes I will spray it and go for 10s.
here are som interior pics i did all this work with help from my dad i fited all the bars on the cage and he welded them and i painted the cage its mack truck orange my buddy john helped me do the pannels a metallic gray for the dors and dash iwill have to find the pics of the car when it caught on fire in side what a mess
here are some pics when the car caught on fire this is the after math with some interior taken out and i threw in one nitrus explosion i had the intake blew the hood off the car and the pice you see by my right foot
Never cared for the way LS1's sounded on acceleration though.
But still a fun car!
Have you heard one with what we call "true duals" (duals with X or H pipe) and a big cam? Much better sound than your average cat back only LS1 running a Y-pipe.
I have, and they do!
