My father handed this gun down to me. All I can say is I've found about 8 more 3rd gen S&W's I want to buy after shooting this one! :wow:

  2. Nice shorter than normal 9mm. 59xx were full sized, 39xx were compact. 3rd Gen Smiths' can be addicting.

That's a sweet 6906! I bought mine from a friend of mine a few weeks ago and I love it...now I've got to have a 5906 to go with it.

Thanks! I'm thinking about picking up a 910 tomorrow for my "beater" gun.

910 or 908 are great everyday guns.
The 6906 is one of my favorites.

59xx were doublestack full size, 69xx were doublestack compact, 39xx were singlestack...(39, 439,539,639,3904,3906; the 3913 is a compact, however...)

    I have a 6906, 5906, 459 and 4506 on my list as well.

I keep hearing too much about them to not "dip a toe in" with one of these.

    Very nice.

    3rd gen S&Ws can get addicting. ;)

Most of them won't break the bank either.

The 910 I wanted to buy is actually a 915, same gun pretty much except for mag capacity. $320 OTD. Next is a 5906, 3913, then a 4506. After that I'm not sure but there are plenty!
