I purchased my 2nd G26 this past week, its a gen4, my other is a gen3. I went to the range on Friday and today and put through 436 rounds through it. I tested everything I had on hand:

115 grains (Win, Rem, PMC, Blazer Brass, Federal, Hornady Critical Defense)

    124 grains (Golden Saber +P)

I mostly used 12 or 10 round magazines, but did use a 15 and a 17. I had one round jam on the 15 round magazine. I'm assuming it was because i was griping the magazine and causing a funny angle for it to feed. I had 2 rounds total land on my right arm. I had one round land on the top of my head(I think it bounced off the range wall). I had 2 rounds go to the left (If I remember right they were both the last rounds of a magazine) Everything else went to the 3-4ish position. I did notice that it seemed anytime I had an issue, I was also gripping the gun pretty lightly. I'd consider this acceptable in my book and this gun is good to go, but I will continue to shoot and see if it starts to develop any problems. I also want to do some more testing with using a bigger magazine and gripping it to see if i can create the same error.

I did some playing around with the 1911 test(firing without a magazine) I've been seeing people do. I took my gen3 (2007ish) g19 with me and tested it with the 1911 test. It failed to eject and jammed almost every time. The g26 gen4 on the other hand ran like a champ, although it ejected differently than normal, it was ejecting to more like the 5 o'clock position and ejected incredibly high compared to normal, which I was kind of impressed to see I did this 20 times and each time was consistent.

Overall I am very happy with this gen4 g26. I'm going to continue to shoot it and get the round count up. I need to do some looking into my g19 and see if I need to do some parts swapping as it has several thousand rounds through it now and might need to be updated.

I should mention. I like the gen4 26 much more than my gen3:

    1. the gen4 grip with the medium backstrap on it is awesome. I really like the texturing on the gun
    2. I love the new mag release
    3. I really like the new trigger. I really cant tell if it is heavier or not, but it feels like it is a smoother pull when trying to shoot accurately at 15-25 yards

I also forgot to mention is seems between the gen4 26 and gen3 26, they updated the spring from the model I had on my gen3. My gen3 guide rod was all plastic. The gen4 looks has metal in it with plastic. If I can find my camera i'll take pic if anyone is interested in seeing the differences.

I called glock about the g19 not ejecting properly with an empty mag. The guy said with 3-5k rounds through it, that I should replace the recoil spring and that should fix my problem. I'll give that a try, since i have a new one on hand from a service kit I bought a while back.

well, I'm so impressed with my g26 gen4 and given the recent events (obama winning) I am off to buy a high capacity gun. I'll be ordering a gen4 g34 from my LGS. I hope to have it sometime next week if all goes well. I'll post another report once I'm able to put a few hundred rounds through it, which may be awhile with deer season starting this weekend.

I might have to give a Gen 4 a try. That new mag release sure is nice. :)

I bought a Gen4 G26 last Friday. I was only able to put 110 rounds through it but I have not had any issues so far. I will probably run some more through it this weekend but so far I am happy.

That is a rare review for a 4th Gen Glock - a positive one!

Love my 26... BTW this so called "1911 test" is uter BS, do not worry bout that. It is pointless. Congrats on the new G4
