My wife's 1997 CR-V saved her life a couple of years ago. The car was lost but held its own against a Dodge Ram. Wife spent a couple of days in the hospital and suffered only a concussion

Just found this... surfing the vehicle forum for the first time.

My wife's '97 has 248,000 miles on the clock and still runs like new. Been running Mobil 1 in the engine - with changes every 7,500 miles as recommended, since about the third oil change. Still doesn't use a drop between changes. Done the timing belt thing twice now (at 105k and 210k) and pretty much nothing else other than routine maintenance.

She says I can buy her a new one when I pry this one from her cold, dead hands

    Fabulous vehicle...

Skunkabilly on THR used to refer to his as his Crisis Response Vehicle.

My wife has an Element; same vehicle mechanically, with a big box on top.

My 1997 CRV rolled over 174,000 today , the paint is faded, doors are dinged, and still the best vehicle I've ever owned.

but you can't trust a word this man says:tongueout:

Honda makes a great car. I've owned three, and all of them lasted a very very long time.
