Just about everything I want to transfer from my old machine to a new one fits easily onto a USB key. I've already got it all transferred to the key, but one little holdup is how to import the "favorites" folder into explorer on the new machine. It's taken a long time to find and organize all those links, especially my gun links. Every way I have tried in the past has been incredibly tedious. I know there's a better way, I'm just not savvy enough with windows to have figured it out on my own. Anybody got a minute?

There are two ways that I have used:

    1) If you know how to navigate to your User Profiles folder through Windows Explorer, you can just copy the entire "Favorites" folder to your USB drive. On your target machine, just paste this back into your User Profile folder.

    OR

    2) In IE, go to:
    File>Import and Export>Next>Export Favorites>Next>Next>Browse...
Select where you want it to write the file to. Then select:
    Next>Finish

    On the target machine:
    File>Import and Export>Next>Import Favorites>Next>Next>Browse...
Select where it can read the file from. Then select:
    Next>Finish
